Course overview
This course covers a wide range of units that prepare students for various technical roles in the engineering industry. Students will learn to organise and communicate information effectively, interact with computing technology, and manage themselves in the engineering environment. They will apply mathematical techniques in a manufacturing engineering or related environment and participate in environmentally sustainable work practices. The course also includes training on preparing to work safely in the construction industry, reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings, and providing advanced customer service. Students will learn to interpret technical specifications and manuals, prepare simple cost estimates for manufactured products, and produce engineering drawings.
